A room with a view

One more month and this is what we will see from our living room

We have been so blessed to have such good come from the negative we have been running into off and on in our lives. It's important to not look at things that are happening and wonder why me, we or us...life brings you the things you can handle and it is our job to find the strength to do so. I AM STRONG ENOUGH and WE ARE STRONG ENOUGH. If we were to dwell on the little things and the things we have no control over we would be miserable all the time. You can't always worry about what can happen because it usually never does and if it does you should use your mind to create a plan and not feel sorry for yourself. We all have the ability to overcome obstacles it's up to us how we are going to do it.

We've jumped this hurdle and I can't wait to see whats next!

A table set for Kings and Queens for a day we were all THANKFUL for...

We're gonna need a taller ceiling!

Our MIRACLE star being placed upon the Christmas Tree...

Just a little of what we did for fun during the holidays

I think Santa and the reindeer were quite satisfied this year

Upon the ledge with care

The first year he really understood what was going on!

Unforgettable reactions to unforgettable gifts

His dream came true this Christmas morning

~We wish you the happiest, healthiest, family filled and most successful NEW YEAR ~

We are so grateful for the family and friends we have in our lives.

A fall must!

Today Dylan and I made Caramel Apples!!!

Here is a video of Dylan unwrapping the caramels for our yummy treat!

Just before nap time we finished the caramel apples....if you think about it a nap is the exact amount of time a caramel apple needs to chill in the fridge!

The big bros got home from school and it was time for all of them to chow down on the ooey gooey goodness that fall brings us.....

CARAMEL APPLES!!!!

I found this fancy pantsy apron at the $1 Store

Random life pictures

We've been really busy this month with Soccer, Dentist Appointments, Being Silly and cooking delicious food.........
Trevor in action!

Crazy hair day! I let Trevor shave the sides of his head and I made a Mohawk...what you can't see is the black polka dots all over his head. He loves stuff like this ~ AJ said he's not in the mood for SPIRIT WEEK...I think he's getting to the age where he isn't sure if he's too old or not.

NUMB MOUTH!
Both older boys had Dentist Appointments...Trevor strangely liked the whole experience and actually asked the Dentist to do more when he told him he was going to stop for that appoinment to give him a break!

AJ on the other hand was not so into it and luckily the Doc said he didn't need injections for his cavities because they were really small....if you could of seen the relief on his face when the Doc said that!

Yummmmers!!
I made this delicious cake when some friends came over for dinner a few weeks back and it was DELICIOUS!!! It's a burnt sugar cake with burnt butter frosting.....it tasted exactly like a heath bar. This one wasn't my own creation but I think the next time I make it there are a few adjustments I am going to make.
I got the recipe from here.
It's really easy so don't let the number of steps intimidate you!

I'm not sure what this little guy was up too but he decided that
drinking water from the bed of his toy truck made the water taste better than if
he simply drank it from a cup.

Our newest chef! Dyl told me he wanted to make dinner and when I asked what he wanted to make of course he said Mac N' Cheese!
He did a great job ~ there's a video below of him adding ingredients and stirring it all up!

What a cutie! Notice how intense he is the entire time....

Halloween Spooktacular!

This year we have really been getting into the Halloween Spirit!
Since last year we had only been in our house 2 wks. we didn't really get to do much for Halloween so we definitely made up for it with decorating, parties and lots of yummy Fall time sweets!
I've never said I'm an artist and by the paintings on the windows you can probably tell I'm not but it was fun decorating the house this year! We added more after I took this picture and behind the garage door is a VERY SPOOKY haunted house that Jeff worked very hard on for the boys' Halloween Party we had last Saturday!

During the party we bobbed for apples, demolished a homemade pinata, ate bat wings, mummy dogs and delicious gravel! It took Trevor forever to sink his teeth into an apple but he finally did and so did all the other super cute dressed up kids!

Trevor is supposed to be a CEREAL KILLER but parts of his costume are a bit fragile and broke as soon as the party started so you will have to wait to see his full costume later when I post Halloween Night pictures! It's very clever trust us!!!

I think this was the biggest hit of the party! Witch's Brew!!! Yummy.... of course it couldn't have gone without disaster! I was opening a bottle of soda to add to the BREW and it decided to explode ALL OVER ME!!! I was quite proud of how I kept my cool though and thank goodness for great friends who ran to my rescue!

FRIENDS!!!
Not much more to be said other than CUTE!!! Dylan loves his costume...he told me he wanted to wear it to Disneyland on the Pirate Ride ~ he makes the perfect Lil' Pirate don't you think??!
The party was a success given that the kids had a FANTASTIC time so when I run all the things that went wrong or didn't happen through my head I just have to realize that the kids didn't notice and that's all that matters!
And we will definitely be doing it again!!!

OMG....omg you guys!

For my birthday Jeff got tickets for Legally Blonde the Musical for the opening night! It was so much fun to finally get to see a Broadway musical (it's been a dream of mine since I was very little) I have been to smaller venues but so far the Gammage is the biggest ~ NEXT STOP NEW YORK!
We couldn't take pictures during the show so all I got of the stage was the curtain....we were 10 rows back and could see everything!

Not the best picture but Jeff wouldn't let me take a second so this was all I got! I'm such a lucky girl, I have such a great husband who puts up with these things because he knows I'll love it! Thanks for the great night Mr. Stout!

This was on the Pink Carpet - for the premiere they laid out pink carpet for some of the cast to walk on and April Warnecke from 3TV was the host. This is the star of the show Becky Gulsvig who plays Elle - notice who she's holding??? BRUISER!!!

Another picture from the interview with Becky....she did such a great job playing Elle! She is a terrific singer and actor. I wasn't sure how much I would like her from the youtube videos I saw because I had seen the show on MTV a few years back and loved Laura Bell Bundy as Elle but Becky did great!

The girl between the two backs is Rhiannon Hansen; she was a runner up on the MTV show The Search for the Next Elle Woods. She played Margot one of the 3 main Delta Nu friends. She did a great job and it's good to see that she is having the chance to live her dreams!

Lauren Zakrin, she was another girl from the MTV show and is also in the show and I loved watching her - she was one of my top picks that I wanted to win the spot as Elle :-)

If you are interested in seeing the show it's here until the 27th I think and I got a email with a code that will give you $10 off any ticket including the $24 ones ($14! that's like going to the movies anymore)! It was a ton of fun and if you have the time and money I would definitely go see it.
Let me know if you want the code.

I like to look for Rainbows....

Today was such an amazing day!
Our 2nd Son made the choice to be baptized into The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints!
Trevor has been waiting for this day and has been working towards this day for quite awhile and we are so proud of him for making this choice....

We kept to tradition and Grandpa Stout (Jeffs Dad) took on the priviledge to be the one to baptize and confirm Trevor....we were very excited that he was willing to do this for Trevor. He also baptized AJ and myself when we were baptized in January 2007.
During Trevors confirmation the blessing that Richard gave was so true to him and the trials that he will face in life and I promise to Trevor that we will be here for him and along his side each step of the way.

After the children were baptized everyone that wanted to was given the opportunity to write something on a piece of paper to each of the children and they were put in a jar with their names on it. When we got home Trevor went to his room by himself and sat on his bed and read each and every one of his to himself.....he said he wanted to keep them just for him because they were important to him.

Thank you everyone that came and participated in Trevors baptism!

Thank You AJ for saying the opening prayer, Thank You Darci Cole (Sister Shumway) for singing The Baptism Song, Thank You Matt Dean for being a witness to his baptism and part of his confirmation, Thank You "Uncle" Matt for being a witness to his baptism and part of his confirmation, Thank You Brother Curtin for being a part of his confirmation and Thank You Grandpa Stout for baptizing and confirming Trevor and saying the closing prayer.

You all made Trevors day special and we appreciate all of you.

And the scripture studying has begun! Grandma and Grandpa Stout gave Trevor his first full set of scriptures in his favorite color BLUE in a holder also in his favorite color BLUE! He's enjoying flipping through the pages and finding random scriptures. Now when we read scriptures each night he doesn't have to use his moms!!!

Trevor we are so proud of you and love you so much and we know that you will continue to make Heavenly Father proud of you in everything that you do. Remember that warm feeling you felt when you received the Holy Ghost and don't let that feeling go away.

What a fun 5 days!!! I miss my sister already....

After a very long 2 years and 9 months I finally got to see me sister and she finally got to see Arizona! She is such a awesome girl and I love being around her and wish I could be more like her is so many ways!
We had tons of fun starting with the chance to show her off to all my great friends! Cami and Alyssa had a birthday party for me the day she got here and it was so great to show my friends off to her and her to my friends!
A quick bday note:
~ Thank you so much to everyone that came to my birthday party and made me feel so special. Thank you to everyone for all the gifts, cards, phone calls, texts and goodies that you brought me! I am so lucky to have friends and family like you.~

Here are a few pictures we managed to get while my sister Katie was here~
Here is Dylan while we were getting the car washed - the big blue brushes scare him and he would rather just not look...
She totally looks like the Nanny on that reality show! Were went shopping at San Tan Mall and were browsing Dillard's when she saw this shawl coat thing and I had to snap a picture of her in it! She is so carefree and fun - I wish I cared less about what people thought and had the confidence she has.

Shopping AGAIN! We went to the Chandler Fashion Center and Dylan hitched a ride on his Aunt Katie because walking was definitely not on his agenda. Even her side view is beautiful don't you think?!

Happy Birthday to me! We went to Red Lobster during our sisters day out for a delicious lunch. This was what I got as my bday cake from them - gotta love their biscuits right??! Thanks Katie for telling them it was my birthday I appreciate it.

FAKERS!!!
But so cute.......
This was Dylans first time meeting Katie since he was 4 1/2 months old and he had a lot of fun getting to know her! When we dropped her off at the airport he said good bye like no big deal but then while we were driving off he asked when we were coming back to get her and asked where she went....poor guy loves his Aunt Katie so much and is still talking about her.

My Nose Hurts!!
Hahahahaha this is so cute. Dylan was going through Katie's backpack and found a bunch of band aids and kept finding "owies" on his and Katie's bodies! I wonder what happened to their noses???!
I love my sister so much and I hate living so far away from her....I've been down in the dumps since the minute I dropped her off. We are a few years apart so we didn't have a ton in common as kids but I always have thought of her as my best friend (even when we didn't like each other that much). She is everything I wish I could be and am so proud to say she's my sister, she is carefree, confident, beautiful (as you can see!), funny, smart, talented, independent and never afraid to speak her mind.
I can't wait to see her again and it definitely won't be almost 3 years this time before I do.
I love you Frances (middle name)!!!!!
GREEN BUG!!!!!!!!

REALLY???? SERIOUSLY??!?!

Is it snowing in AZ????
Do I need to buy Head and Shoulders shampoo for the poor kid???
OOOOooooooR is this another Dylan and Bryson Project???

Yep that's right he did it again!!!!
This time Dyl and Bryson decided to get into Trevors hampster cage bedding.......
Can 2 moms work out and chat without their wonderful children making a complete mess for goodness sakes?? You may think "what kind of mom is she? Does she never watch her kid?" But I do! I promise I do - each and everytime something happens it is a matter of 10 minutes and it's like the kid knows I'm caught up in something at that moment.

BTW you might be thinking - "thats Trevors bed??"
Yes yes it is AFTER he and his friend decided to jump on it until his entire bed busted into pieces. Am I the only mom with 3 boys that are this crazy and wild??!!!

Is it September already?!

Wow this summer has flown by fast!
I feel like it has been forever since I have posted anything on here so here are a few snip its of what our Summer looked like!

We had a MAGICAL time at Disneyland....yes we went again! We had a chance to really relax and hang out as a family this time and it was so much fun! We got Annual Passes this time so that we can go for Halloween and Christmas too, I can't wait to see the Haunted Mansion turned into Nightmare before Christmas!!!
The boys had a blast doing each and everything we wanted, we tried out every restaraunt we thought would be fun and as our tradition goes we had a very eventful breakfast with Goofy! The only downside to the entire trip was eating at the new Round Up restaraunt.....way over priced and they chose to not tell us that characters were no longer part of the meal. But oh well we still had a blast and we have too many great memories to count!

This was a way cool experience for AJ! In CA Adventures they have a fun performance called Off the Page where they pick audience members to be a part of the show and AJ was one of the kids chosen. He got to go up and interact with the actor and he even got to speak on the microphone and say "REACH FOR THE SKY!" (I have it on video too!). In the end the actors revealed 3 drawings of the characters the 3 kids resembled and AJs character was WOODY! After the performance he received a autographed drawing Woody that he also had Woody sign! It was a ton of fun and AJ loved it.

I feel like a horrible mom for not getting this up back in July but better late than never I guess right?! Trevor turned 8 years old on July 29th! We had a family get together and he got to go to Disneyland for 9 days so I would say he made out pretty good.

Trevor is such a great kid, he has a huge heart and is so caring...he definately got his moms emotions (sorry son). Trevor is a great friend to everyone he meets and has an incredible mind that blows us all away. He is creative, inteligent, silly, handsome, a great cook, a awesome song writer and guitar player, the fastest hardest pitcher and can kick a soccer ball into any goal with any goalie put in his way! We love you Trevor more than you will ever know and each day I am so amazed that I was given a son like you!

HAIRCUT TIME!!! HAHAHAHAHA... I love this picture! Well it was time after months of growing it out Trevor woke up with crazy bed hair and couldnt stand it anymore so he asked me to cut it all off for him. This isn't what it looked like in the end but the mullet looks so good on him don't you think?!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Lil Dyl happy birthday to you! I know I am late on this one too but like I said with Trevor their birthdays all happened during our busiest time of the summer.
Dylan specifically asked for a Mickey Mouse clubhouse birthday party and like any mom I wanted to do all I could to make that happen! The cake I made completely from scratch and some how with the little bit of creativity I have created the clubhouse that Mickey Mouse lives in! Everyone seemed to be impressed with it but what mattered most was that Dylan was....his little face lit up when he saw the cake and thats when I knew I did alright!
We love this little guy so much! I guess we can't really call him little anymore now that he's 3....he is so darn cute and silly too! He is a very loving boy and a great friend! He loves to play with his friends and read books with his daddy at bedtime. Dylan likes to sing and run and play each and every day and we love playing with him! We are so lucky to have this big brown eyed monkey in our lives!!!
Well thats about it there was so much we did that of course I didn't get pictures of but we hope you enjoyed a bit of "WHAT WE DID ON OUR SUMMER VACATION".

In a NUTSHELL

It has been a very fun summer so far.... I've really enjoyed being home with the boys and Jeff has mentioned on more than one occasion that he's happy to have someone to cook dinner everynight again!
Here are a few things we have been up to....

RELAXING.....

This is Trevor's weird new thing...eating ice 24/7. If your wondering what is going on with his head his other new thing is putting his head through the sleeve of his shirt.
~DON'T ASK.... WE DON'T~

Who do you think won this one???!

Remember when I said don't ask about Trevor...same goes for this silly guy! He came into my room and said, "Look mom I'm eating a snake!"

Trevor has been into cooking a lot this summer, every weekend he makes the whole family breakfast; he's also made dinner a few times and loves baking sweet goodies.
This picture is Dylans attempt to bake a cake just like Trevor!

We always make time each week to go to the library..... we have also been enjoying our Summer Movies that we go to each week and swimming in our pool!
Notice that A.J. is in his scouting uniform...this is his last year as a cub scout and this summer he has already earned 4 pins towards his Wee-be-los badge ~ the last one he needs to be an official scout!

Most of all we have been enjoying EACHOTHER! The boys are getting so big and before we know it this time will be gone so we are always looking for ways to keep it interesting and fun, which isn't too hard with 3 great kids like ours!
