Still SICK but just as CUTE

Well we are going on 7 days and still sick! Poor kids........ it seems they have gotten a bad case of the flu that has been wandering around Pecan Creek attacking unsuspecting victims! I don't know how AJ has done it but he has avoided it. Jeff and I have been downing Defense and Vitamin C trying to avoid it (CROSS OUR FINGERS AND KNOCK ON WOOD).
Sweet baby ~ all he's wanted is his mommy all week.
I love this little guy.

Even when he is sick he fulfills his duty as SPIDERMAN!

Whhhhhooooooooaaaaa!

My dad and I were IMing the other day and Dylan came over to the computer; my dad sent a "widget" of a bouncing smiley face ball and this was Dylans reaction! It was so cute and everytime it would stop he would say, "BALL, BALL, BALL!" until my dad did it again....... this was at bedtime so when I said, "lets go night night," Dylan answered, "NO BALL!" It was so cute!!!!

Sick and Tired......

Sorry it's been a few days; we went from busy to bedridden...... Trevor wasn't feeling well yesterday and was complaining of leg pain and he had no appetite; (I figured it was the dinner I cooked ;) ) the last straw was when he fell asleep in the middle of Dylan's bedroom floor wrapped in a blanket. When I went to wake him up he was burning up from head to toe ~ LITERALLY. Come to find out he had a 102 temp and it wasn't just growing pains and my cooking like I had thought.

So after I got him taken care of he fell asleep and then the next thing I know Dylan's nose is running non-stop. I knew it was coming and sure thing he woke up in the middle of the night with a temp. too. I hate it when they are sick but I do love the cuddling I get in when they are so it's not sooooo bad.

Anyway as of right now we have 2 sick and 3 healthy but the ratio is sure to change soon ~ it always does.

Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend and remember to take your vitamin C! :)

Busy busy busy...

So as you can see by all the following posts we have been quite busy around here. It seems like whenever we get it together we somehow enter into our neverending world of chaos; but if we didn't we wouldn't be us so no complaining here.

Oh and sorry that the 2 decorating ones are backwards but I'm sure you knew where we were going with it.

Chucks

Here is Dylan standing with his new Chuck's on. He still hates walking but he loves his new shoes!

Sorry the picture is so dark....

What a little poser! He was so excited to get his shoes today. I bought him a few outfits too and everytime I would show him one I would ask if he liked it and of course he would answer with his favorite word "NO". Then I asked if he liked his new shoes and he answered, "YA!"

More decorating stuff

So I didn't realize you couldn't see this one that well either but it is AJ and Trev's before school and before bed list of things to do and I had them put in vinyl and put them on their closet door so they can never say they don't know what they are supposed to do ~ smart thinking hu?!
This is Dylan's bedroom door ~ I've decided Orange is his color
And....this is inside Dylans room; like I said Orange is his color and Elmo is his FRIEND. Dylan loves Elmo although he saw the Backyardagins and I think he likes them a little more (don't tell Elmo.....). If you notice the wall with half Orange and half Cream there used to be a really cute ELmo boarder there but Dylan decided it didn't look so good so he tore it down during his NAP. :)
And this is our BATHROOM ~ I couldn't help it when an idea comes it sticks and I have to do it. I thought it was quite clever and very original!
Thank you Susie for all the help! She did all the vinyl in the house for me - you can check out her site by clicking the link under my friends (She's the one that says Packer Family)

Jenn's been decorating.....

Slowly but surely we are trying to turn our house into a home....... here is some of what we have done so far. I put the Return with Honor up in hopes that our boys will leave remembering all that we have taught them even when we aren't around..... I don't know if it helps but I at least like to think it does. :)
OK so not the best picture.... but this is my favorite thing I have done so far! If you can't read it it says Stout Family Established 1998. It is right over our dining room window.
Stars.... I bought a bunch of tin stars and put them up on the wall that connects our kitchen and dining room. I'm waiting for Jeff to come up with a really good Stout Family quote to put up there with them.
This is AJ and Trevors bedroom door - I know it's TOTALLY them right??!
RED ROOM...... AJ and Trev's room not done but you get the picture. It's going to be all skateboards and snowboards.

Blue and Gold.....Congrats AJ!!!

Here's Aj after he received his Awards for scouting. Checkout that smile he is so excited and we are so proud of him!
This is a close-up so you can see ALL the Awards he got. He received his Wolf badge (which means he is in his dads den now!) and a Gold Arrow, 2 Silver Arrows, Canning for Food, Blue and Gold Participation Badge and one more you can't see, his Pinewood Derby Badge! We are so proud of AJ and his hardwork that he does to earn these awards.
The Blue and Gold Banquets theme this year was "Chinese New Year". Here is AJ's Den with their Dragon they made for the skit. I have to say it was definitely the best there. Dave Packer (Jeff's partner in the Bears) did a great job designing it.
I also want to give huge recognition to our Primary Presidency. They did such a great job with the entire Banquet and like always Melanie Scott always adds those EXTRA SPECIAL touches to everything. If only I could have a little of her creativity it would be great! Thank you ladies for all that you do, I love serving in the primary with you as my leaders

Play play play....

Dylan loves it when Grandma Stout comes to play with him!

Free Fallin................

Hurray! So as many of you know Jeff and I are huge Tom Petty fans, well it just so happens for the 2nd time in our marriage Tom has decided to go on tour!!!!! Guess who bought tickets the minute they went on sale!? THAT'S RIGHT - WE DID!!!! We are really excited although the wait is going to kill us I think; the concert isn't until the end of August. But the wait will be well worth it.

Ok for real this time I promise

So I have tried this before and was unsuccessful so here we go again! Hopefully since life is finally slowing down for us I can keep track of our life to keep everyone up to date.

Cross your fingers :)
