RainDrops

One of my favorite sounds and things to watch is rain hitting water....

Peaceful..

Calming...

Now if when the rain stopped it was suddenly 90 degrees out all would be perfect!

Viva Las Vegas

We had a blast in Vegas!

Thank goodness for a time change because we were running just about 1 hour behind schedule.

We took the scenic route for the kids and drove through the Hoover Dam. The traffic was terrible but it was neat to see something NEW.

Jeffs sister, Melissa got married and the whole Stout family was there. We had a chance to spend a little time with them and Jeff and I had time for just the two of us which doesn't come too frequently.

During our visit to Vegas we stayed in a Pent House suite at the Signature Suites at MGM Grand. The hotel was absolutely GORGEOUS and I felt like a princess the ENTIRE time! We don't usually get treatment like we did or don't put out the money for what it would cost and if it weren't for Jeffs company we probably wouldn't of this time either.

One of the many views from our room...this is the Planet Hollywood Hotel Pool.

We are already talking about going back just to stay in the room again and see the sites on a long weekend just the TWO of us.

On the last day we decided to stay until the late afternoon so that we could walk the strip a bit with the boys and we went to M&M World. The boys were in heaven and they each brought home a souvenir from the store.

Another view from our room

It was a successful slightly spontaneous weekend for sure and we are so happy for Melissa and Mike!

Memories

I was talking to a friend the other day about how I didn't love the 9 month to 1 1/2 yr stage because they are in between being cute, tiny and cuddley and being fun and interactive.

Then I found these old videos of Dylan when he was about 1 yr old on my old phone and completely changed my mind!

The picture quality isn't great but that doesn't change the cuteness and fun Dylan was (and still is).

 Now I MISS that stage.....

Simple Pleasures

I LOVE cooking. It relaxes me, clears my head, motivates me, inspires me, sparks my creative side AND the plus side it's usually quite delish.

Since I'm not feeling well I decided to make dinner ahead of time in case my energy gets lost in the day. While I was at it I made a dessert which always makes me happy because I love to hear the "oooh"s and "ahhh"s and "this is yummy"s from something new I create or recreated from something I thought needed a twist.

Today on the menu
Chicken Tortilla Casserole (literally 6 ingredients)
AND
Rocky Road Brownie Bars

Wish there was smell-o-monitor; my house smells AMAZING!

Let me know if you would like recipes too they are super easy and almost everything is already in your pantry which is always a plus
