Trevor is playing in the Minors this year and his team is the Rockies. And the catching gear he got for Christmas has been put to great use so far this season!
AJ is in Majors this year and playing for the Pirates. He played Short Stop for part of his opening day game and did a great job! He's still not sure what position he REALLY wants to play though.
The boys also wanted me to mention their prank on Jeff for April Fools day...about 7 years ago I wrapped a hair tie around the nozzle on the sink sprayer so that the trigger was pressed in and when the water was turned on it automatically sprayed water. I did this because Jeff is always taking sips from the faucet and as expected he did and got sprayed in the face! Anyway I told Trevor about it the night before April Fools and when Jeff and I came down stairs in the morning and the boys had already left guess who went to take a drink of water from the faucet and got sprayed in the face??!! NOT ME....Jeff Hahahahahahaha!
Doesn't the saying going fool me once shame on you...fool me twice shame on me!
And since I'm in a video posting mood.....
This video is of AJ's 12th birthday this last New Years Eve. It gives you a full idea of what our crazy family is like.....crying, laughing...oh and of course it wouldn't be a birthday or holiday without giving away what at least one present is. The videos about 5 min long but if you can handle the wait right around the middle you'll see what I'm talking about.
Spring Break was pretty calm this year. We were going to go to Disneyland but I'm a slightly selfish person and since I'm pregnant cancelled it because lets face it I'd miss out on all the good rides and have to nap most of the day and probably wouldn't be able to eat anything that I love usually. PLUS we were all sick the ENTIRE time so it was all for the better to cancel and lay low.
We literally were the whole week plus some! Trevor missed school the week before Spring Break and the nurse called about AJ the Friday Spring Break started. Jeff was sick enough to stay home which was nice because he's NEVER home so having him here even if he was sick the entire time and slept all day it was good to know he was here. I got sick too and usually I just deal with it but going through all day sickness from pregnancy at the same time made me a big baby and nothing made me happy...my poor family.
Although we were sick towards the end of the week we decided to go to the movies and do some shopping at the mall...we were all suffering from cabin fever by then and needed out of the house in a bad way. Jeff came with us and we had lunch at the kids choice...Red Robin, saw Mega Mind at the $1 theater and I did some shopping. While we were waiting for the movie the kids decided that they NEEDED to go on the gravity something or other that was set up in front of the mall.
I told the guy running it to do it fast and he didn't even get to medium speed and the kids were begging him to stop so they could get off. WIMPS!
We also had already planned on going to see Flogging Molly for St. Patricks day. We decided to take the older boys this year because they are always asking what concerts are like and they listen to their music with us in the car and know almost all the words so why not?!
We got there as soon as the gates opened so we could spend the day there and watch all the bands play and walk around and eat bad food and get some sun. The kids had a blast they were in awe of everything around them.
This is probably going to end up me venting so I apologize in advance.....
I am so very grateful to be pregnant I am still in shock that I am I go through every emotion daily...disbelief, excitement, SHOCK, the what the heck am I thinking feeling...you'd think this being our 4th it would be no big deal but IT IS! I feel like I've forgotten EVERYTHING I need to know and have ZERO energy to do anything with the kids I have. I'm seriously doubting myself....I've even told Jeff I would rather have a boy because I know what to do with a boy and have NO IDEA what to do with a girl....what is wrong with me?!
Truthfully I don't care what we have this time I'm just so happy to finally be having our last little one that we have been waiting so long for.
I'm just really worn out...I've been sick for 3 wks now...there is guaranteed vomiting on a daily basis and I have no energy to do a single thing. My only energy boost happens at about 7pm and last about 2 hours and thats family time so I still get nothing done....the kids are tired of chores and I don't blame them...Dylan is tired of "napping" in bed with me and told me today that he wants to play in his play room and I will be fine without him. Jeff feels helpless because he has no idea what to do to help me and has tried everything and cooked every type of food and guaranteed by the time it's ready I'm so overwhelmed by the smells I can't eat it.
Please don't get me wrong I am so excited and so very grateful...I'm excited to feel the first kick, see what we are having, hear the first cry and look into his/her eyes for the first time. I just can't wait for the 1st trimester to be over with..as much as I'm happy I'm having these symptoms and it means things are going good for the baby a break would be great!
